Winning Over Worry!  
Are you weighted down with worry today? Let’s face it, it’s easy to become burdened with worry and fear in this dark world. Fortunately for believers, our loving God knows our fears, weaknesses, and worries and He tells us how to face them. Paul says in this comforting yet sometimes misinterpreted passage, “Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything.” Many people stop here and miss the key to God’s blessing and peace. Paul goes on to say, “Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done.” More than 20 times in the New Testament, we’re told to “ask” but God wants us to ask with gratitude for all He’s done.
Friends, by thanking God in advance, we are stepping out in faith. The Bible says that when we have faith to thank God ahead of time for an answer to our prayers, miracles can happen. The truth is the more thankful we are, the more God works in our lives. Scripture makes it clear that God loves an attitude of gratitude! God inhabits the praise of His thankful children; He uses our thanksgiving as an instrument of power in our lives. So be specific in your prayers and let your prayers and praise, become an instrument of power and peace. Our prayers and thanksgiving may not always change the situation exactly as we expect, but they always change us and draw us closer to our God.
