Wait For The Lord!
Are you waiting on something or someone today? Let's admit there are very few easy lessons learned as Christians. In our world today, one of the hardest life lessons to learn is patience. We have become used to getting quick solutions in this high-speed world. It doesn't take long to discover quick solutions aren't always God's plan for our lives. Our loving God wants us to learn to trust Him and leave the timing in His hands. As you read today's passage from Psalm 27, we notice that David coupled the admonition to wait upon God's timing with encouragement to be strong and courageous. Waiting often demands strength and courage! 
Friends, our world today is impatient and often quick to act because we fear missing out on something. It takes strength and courage to go against this trend and wait on the Lord while the world rushes past. There are even believers who, instead of waiting on God's perfect timing, will make a move and ask God to bless it. Let me ask you? Are you asking the Lord for guidance or provision but hearing silence? Jesus addressed this when He said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). As you worry, wait, and wonder, ask the Lord for His peace and patience. Then trust Him to take care of your needs in His perfect timing.
