Our Advent Hope!
What are you placing your hope in today? Webster's dictionary defines hope as: "to desire with expectation of obtainment or fulfillment." If you are looking for hope today from our government, science, medicine, or anything other than Jesus, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. How can one remain hopeful in this dark, broken world of deception and despair? Our hope and confidence are nurtured and strengthened through a personal relationship with Jesus! We redeemed believers have been reborn into a living hope in Jesus' resurrection victory.
Friends, the Bible was written to provide us with encouragement and hope! When this world presses in on you and dims your hope, the Psalms are always a good place to turn. The Psalms express the writers' feelings and can provide comfort and hope. So, when things seem hopeless, open your Bible; it is our hope handbook, then immerse yourself in God's Word! Always remember our loving God has given us a living hope in Jesus, and He also provides us grace and encouragement for each day of our journey. On this first Sunday of Advent, we are reminded our hope is found in Jesus; he alone has overcome the world and is with us till the end of the ages. Jesus is Our Advent Hope!
Onward and Upward!
