Listen To Him!
Who are you listening to? A cacophony of voices cry for our attention every waking moment of the day! Are you just talking to God, or do you actively listen to Him also? To train ourselves to listen to God, we must remember that hearing is an intentional, active, ongoing process. Our hearts and minds must be open to the idea that the Lord always has something to communicate to us throughout our days. We don’t have to be on a mountain top to hear His voice. We should expect Him to speak to us daily in a way that we can understand so we can glean from Him. 
Friends, to hear from God, we must focus on Him, free from distractions. When we meditate on Him in Holy Scripture, it creates an opportunity that's conducive to listening. Active listening also includes responding to what we hear. As we read, meditate, and inwardly digest God's words, we should ask ourselves, what is the Lord trying to tell me in this? We should also ask ourselves what does it teach us about Him? To develop a listening spirit takes a strong desire and consistent practice! Are you listening to Jesus' voice? Is your heart inclined to Him and intent on listening? The Lord tells us today, like He said to Peter on the Mount of Transfiguration, Listen to Him!
