God Will Provide
None of us likes to be in need, but from the Lord’s perspective, our needs can be spiritually beneficial. When the bottom drops out of our self-imagined security, we realize the biblical truth that all our provisions come from God. The Lord may use various means to meet needs, but He alone is the source of everything. Elijah learned to live by faith when the Lord used ravens to feed him. Every financial need in life is an opportunity to walk by faith, trusting the Lord to be our true source of security. Prosperity can create a sense of independence that blinds us to how truly dependent we are.
Friends, by trusting that God would provide for him, Elijah experienced divine intervention. We may not always see the Lord perform supernatural acts in our finances. However, His Word clearly states, “My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19). Are you focusing on the instrument or the true source of your provision? The means God uses may change, but his unfailing faithfulness endures forever. The Lord invites us to trust Him and live in both the adventure and the eternal security of a life of faith. Our God’s provision and blessings are beyond measure!
Onward and Upward +
Fr. Greg
