MEET FATHER GREG

Father Greg McBrayer

Chief Flight Controller, Chaplain & Bi-Vocational ACNA Priest

Greg McBrayer — Bi-Vocational Priest and ministry leader

Our faith and obedience to God is to be evident in all areas of our lives, not just the designated parts which we have labeled 'private' and 'sacred'. Whatever we do, we do all things to the Glory of God! As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:20, we are ambassadors of Christ, and God is making his appeal through us wherever he places each of us!

By the time you retire you will have spent an estimated 90 thousand hours of your life in your workplace, compared to only 5 thousand hours in your church. That being said, where do you have the most opportunity to serve and glorify God? Workplace ministry is about God declaring His glory through us in our jobs as we live out our mission to serve and glorify Him where He places us.

Father Greg has worked and served in the aviation industry for more than 45 years. He is the Chief Flight Controller and Chaplain at American Airlines (IOC) Integrated Flight Operations Control Center in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. As a Bi-Vocational ACNA Priest, Father Greg currently serves as Assistant Rector at Saint Barnabas Church in Keller, Texas.

He is the Founder of American Airlines' 'Monday Ministry,' a Christian Ministry Chapter of American Airlines Christian Employees Business Resource Group (CEBRG), and serves as the Senior CEBRG Global Lead Representative, overseeing 20 CEBRG Ministry Chapters at American Airlines worldwide. He is also the Executive Director of DFW Airport Chaplaincy, where he leads weekly Chapel Masses and special worship services at DFW International Airport's Terminal D40 Meadows Chapel.

In 2018, he was awarded American Airlines' coveted 'Chairman's Award' for decades of service, support, and pastoral care. In 2023, he was named the EBRG Leader of the Year by the Religious Freedom and Business Foundation. In 2025, he was awarded the American Airlines Circle of Excellence Award for his Chaplaincy Care at American Airlines.

"Let every man abide in the calling wherein he is called and his work will be as sacred as the work of the ministry. It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular; it is why he does it."
