Show Me the Way
Our earthly journey can often be difficult! Sometimes, life feels like a maze with many turns, stops, and sudden drops. Navigating our way to eternity isn’t simple, but we are blessed to have a loving God who always offers divine direction and wisdom. We must seek the Lord, trust Him, and obey His guidance and teachings when we don't see the way. When David lost his path, he prayed to the Lord, "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths." He didn't ask for an easy road but for God's guidance.
Friends, David, approached the Lord before starting his journey, just as we turn to our GPS for directions today. He then said, "Show me and teach me," so he could decide his next step. David wanted more than directions; he wanted God as his personal guide and teacher through life. Asking God to show us the way is one thing, but opening our hearts to His teachings and correction is another. What a perfect example of "letting go and letting God!" If you're seeking the way, pause and pray for humility. Ask and trust the Lord to be your guide and counselor each and every day on life's journey.
