The furlogh of Aviation profeshionals

I just want to take a moment to say farewell to the many aviation professionals at American Airlines whose careers will be delayed, diverted, or terminated today. I thank God for each of you and for the time we have been given to work together doing what we so love. More importantly, I thank the Lord for the opportunity I have been given to serve all of you who are now leaving this very special Family He knit together. You may be leaving our presence, but the love of your airline family will always go with you in your hearts!
I love and appreciate each and every one of you and I commend your professionalism, your grace, and your understanding during these darkest days in our industry.
As you know, each of you has been in my prayers for months and you will remain there until we meet again. Not in all my years in this profession and vocation have I felt such grief for our close-knit aviation Family as I have throughout these circumstances leading to today. But if all my years and tears in this industry have taught me anything, it is to place my trust in the Lord in all things...and I commend each of you to His loving care now as your lives take flight in new directions. I thank God for each of you and pray for His protection and provision over you until we meet again.
And until that day. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and grant you his peace.
