Making Wise Decisions
We all make countless decisions every day. Some are small and trivial, and some will have lasting consequences. What does your decision-making process usually look like? Do you approach it logically or go with what feels right? Many will do the latter and "go with their gut feelings." There isn't anything wrong with that approach, but your gut instincts must be informed by sound biblical principles and teachings, which can only be found in God’s Word. Every page of our Bible is filled with the biblical wisdom and principles that the Lord wants us to live by and fact-check by daily.
Friends, we must remain in God's Word daily to obtain the knowledge and wisdom needed to make sound decisions in our broken world. Making good decisions in a world full of lies and deception is all but impossible without God's help. Saint James says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him (James 1:5)." Always fact-check your decisions against God's Biblical World View values. We must intentionally make time every day to prayerfully study God's Word and listen to what the Holy Spirit is teaching us through it. Then, when the time comes to make small or large decisions, you will know your heart, mind, and soul you have made a wise decision.
